England Squad ?

Started by: GOLDEN BEAR (6556)

Whilst watching las t weeks match at Wembley i was actually bored out of my skull, Ok there were some injury issue's etc but come on playing against a team of MALTA'S calibre the score line should have beeng greater ,but i have to pick out one player who i thought was utterly out of his depth and that was Marcus Rashford , From the K.O he showed lack of interest and proved yet again his mind /head was not in the game , for the first half i counted the number of times the ball was delivered to him and over the course of 40 minutes he recieved the ball via the full -back or H Maguire some 35 occasions and for 32 of them he immediately kicked the ball back to them again, again he tried twice to take on their defence and lost it twice , his contribution was abysmal . Then to add as far as i am concerned 20 mins into second half he and Trent A ,Arnold collided , the latter up straight away ,yet Rashford appeaered to have been shot with a round of bullets of which he signalled he'd had enough , my conclusion is the guy has lost what=ever he earned last season has gone this season , i just think his mind elsewhere ,and if he carries on in that vien HE must not go to next seasons championship's . Sad has it goes but if you take HARRY KANE out of the attack ENGLAND are JUST A PLAIN ORDINARY SIDE , AND GARETH SOUTHGATE HAS NO CHANCE OF WINNING next YEAR AS FOR THE WORLD CUP ,AGAIN WE ARE LIGHT YEARS AWAY !!!

With respect G B i think you are wrong to rush to judgement and condemn Rashford .
He is in a bad spell of form admittedly but he will come good again hopefully sooner rather than later .
A fit and in form Rashford will be on the plane for the euro 24 cup unless of course Southgate goes all defensive ,AGAIN .

Golden Bear

England has already qualified, so why should the side play it's wotsits off, and risk injury to the players, to the detriment of the players and their players clubs, it is not worth the risk

Thats fine G B ,
I will stand by mine .
I repeat that it will depend on how Southgate sees it .
I just hope he changes from his defensive mindset and allows good players to blossom on the big stage .
We will see .
